AROMA & CHARACTER

Citrus zest, white blossom, and a hint of nutmeg open the cup. The Darjeeling base tea brings depth, floral sweetness, and a clear, dry structure. With a short brewing time, it's bright, citrusy, almost crisp – with longer brewing time, a warm, muscat-like richness develops. The finish remains clean and without heaviness.

THE TEA FARM

noema_benifuuki_transport - Noema

Tea gardens in the Indian Himalayas

Darjeeling Grey tea comes from certified organic cultivation in the highlands of northern India. The subtropical, cool climate, the interplay of sun and mist, and the slow ripening of the leaves result in aromatic complexity and floral precision.

The production process follows the classic black tea method: withering, rolling, oxidizing, drying – then refined with genuine bergamot oil. No synthetic additives, no over-processing – just a precise citrus note as an accent.

TEA FARM

Selected from small producer groups focusing on hand processing, seasonal selection and small harvest quantities.

TERROIR

Altitudes up to 2,000 m, strong day-night fluctuations and iron-rich soils bring floral depth and fine structure to the leaf.

ORIGIN

Second Flush Darjeeling – harvested between May and June. This harvest yields more body than the First Flush, but remains more floral and elegant than Assam or Ceylon.

The tea

Darjeeling Grey

A tea that balances clarity and character. Darjeeling Grey combines the floral lightness of a second flush with the precise freshness of natural bergamot – without heaviness, without perfume.

Not a classic Earl Grey: Instead of robust Assam or malty Ceylon, an elegant highland tea takes center stage here – muscaty, delicate, and balanced. The bergamot is present, but never overpowering.

For those who understand citrus not as a flavor, but as an accent. Pure, it's a tea with freshness and depth – with a splash of milk, it becomes soft and well-rounded without losing its structure.
