About NOEMA

Tea is not a trendy product for us, but a quiet constant. NOEMA stands for carefully selected teas from Asia that have a clean taste, resonate with the body, and bring a moment of peace to everyday life.

Our idea of tea

NOEMA is about three things:

Clarity in the cup: no flavorings, no additives, only whole leaves or finely ground tea.

Peace in the moment: tea as a small break, as an anchor between appointments, devices and thoughts.

Flavor with depth: Green tea, oolong, white tea, black tea, pu erh and matcha that are not loud, but precise.

We choose teas that don't get lost in effects, but rather create a harmonious whole: fragrance, texture, aftertaste, body sensation.

Origin & Selection – Where Our Tea Grows

noema_welkung-in-lagen-indoor - Noema

Our teas come from select regions in China, Japan, Taiwan, and India . Places where tea is not just grown, but a way of life:

China: Classics such as Longjing, Mao Feng, jasmine teas, Pu Erh and distinctive black teas from Yunnan or Anhui.

Japan: Shaded green teas and matcha, which represent clear, green energy.

Taiwan: Oolongs with depth – from honey-sweet to floral and mineral.

India: Darjeeling and Assam lines with precise structure and fine, muscatel-like notes.

We prefer to work with small and medium-sized gardens where the origin of the leaves, the picking standards and the processing are transparent.

Each variety undergoes tastings – only when the tea proves convincing in several infusions is it included in the product range.

Craftsmanship, quality & laboratory testing

Good tea is made in stages: plucking, withering, oxidation or fixation, shaping, drying, and storage. We ensure that each phase is harmonious and reflected in the flavor.

Craftsmanship

Picking standards such as "two leaves and a bud" or pure buds (Silver Needle, Palace Needle, Snow Silent).

Gentle processing

Pan-fired, steamed, lightly roasted or highly oxidized – depending on the style, always clear in the cup.

LABORATORY ANALYSES

We regularly test for residues, pollutants, and contaminants. Tea should be good for you – not just in taste, but also in terms of confidence.

FRESHNESS & STORAGE

We fill our teas into aroma-proof packaging and recommend storing delicate teas in a cool, dark place.

Tea as a moment – effect, tranquility, presence

Tea isn't a miracle cure – but it can structure your day. A crisp green tea in the morning, a smooth oolong in the afternoon, a calming white tea in the evening: each variety has its own temperature, rhythm, and effect. At Noema, we consciously talk about its effects and how it feels in the body, without making empty promises.
