Green tea

Lung Ching

Lung Ching – also known as Longjing or "Dragon Well Tea" – is a classic spring green tea from Zhejiang, traditionally pan-heated and flat-pressed by hand. Made from young leaves of the early harvest, it brews a clear, golden-green cup with a mild sweetness, silky body, and the typical chestnut/nutty notes. Calm, clean, and very approachable – for those who seek precision rather than harshness in their green tea.

AROMA & CHARACTER

A bright chestnut note opens the aroma, accompanied by spring greens (tender leaves, edamame) and a subtle hint of blossom. The first infusion is silky, mildly sweet, and clear, with a delicate roasted warmth rather than bitterness. As it develops, the tea becomes more rounded: more nuttiness, a touch of grain, and a cool, understated citrus freshness in the aftertaste. Subsequent infusions become more transparent and mineral, while the sweetness remains quietly present. At 75–80 °C, Lung Ching remains pleasantly mild; brewing time determines the depth, not the harshness.

The heat from the pan stops oxidation and keeps the cup clear, smooth and without any harsh bitterness.

A warm nuttiness carries the body, without heaviness, with an elegant sweetness in the background.

Over several rounds, the tea evolves from silky-fresh to rounder and more mineral, without becoming unbalanced.

THE TEA FARM

Green classic from Zhejiang

Longjing coffee historically originates from the Hangzhou region around West Lake (Xihu) in Zhejiang Province. The mild, humid spring climate and mineral-rich soils promote a natural sweetness and a clear, elegant cup structure. Its distinctive character is primarily achieved through processing: pan-setting and flat pressing shape the leaf structure, texture, and characteristic nuttiness.

Harvesting takes place in early spring. After a brief withering, the leaves are heated in hot pans, then flattened by hand and gently dried. The result is a natural green tea without additives, whose appeal lies in precision and tranquility.

The tea

Lung Ching

Lung Ching is traditionally fixed in the pan and pressed flat. This results in a light, clean cup with a silky body, mild sweetness, and the typical chestnut/nutty notes. Shorter brewing times emphasize the fresh, spring-like greens, while longer brewing times bring more warmth and depth. A good Lung Ching remains smooth and precise.
