Pu Erh tea
Pu Erh Menghai 5 Years is a mature shou pu-erh from Menghai, Yunnan. Aged for over five years, the cup becomes soft and deep, with notes of cocoa, dark wood, and a quiet dried fruit sweetness. Grounding, well-rounded, and surprisingly clear – for those who drink pu-erh for structure, not as a statement.

AROMA & CHARACTER
The aroma initially reveals forest floor, dark wood, and cocoa – warm, tranquil, and smoky. On the palate, the tea is soft and full-bodied, with an earthy baseline that quickly shifts into dark chocolate, then is balanced by dried fruit (date/fig) and a gentle molasses sweetness. With a shorter brewing time, the cup remains clear and very clean, with a delicate, dry chocolate note and a smooth finish. Longer extraction brings more depth: moist wood, malty warmth, and a denser mouthfeel without becoming harsh. In subsequent infusions, the tea becomes rounder and more mellow – the sweetness is more pronounced, and the finish remains warm, dark, and long.
NOEMA is an independent tea house with a clear ambition: Only what we can stand behind in terms of taste, craftsmanship and content makes it into our product range.
We work with carefully selected partners who share our eye for quality. Every variety is tasted, compared, understood – and only included if it fulfills what we look for in tea: clarity, tranquility, and depth.
