AROMA & CHARACTER

On the nose, forest floor, dark wood, and dry cocoa. On the palate, soft and full, with low bitterness and a calm, mature structure – the cup remains clear, without any dull heaviness. Shorter brewing times produce a clean and warm flavor, while longer extraction deepens the earthiness, cocoa, and malty notes. Subsequent infusions become smooth and lingering, with a subtle hint of sweetness in the finish.

THE TEA FARM

yournoema_puerh_sortierung_und_aussieben - Noema

Yunnan's Pu-erh craft

This Shou Pu-erh comes from Yunnan, the heartland of traditional Pu-erh production. After harvesting, the leaves are sun-dried (maocha) and then post-fermented using the controlled wo-dui process: temperature and humidity are carefully managed to create the typical Pu-erh depth – warm, earthy, yet with a clear cup.

After fermentation, the tea is gently dried, sorted, and packaged as loose leaf. The result is a calm, reliable Pu-erh with a soft cocoa-wood profile and a long, warm finish – all-natural, without additives.

TEA FARM

Selected from farms that produce Shou cleanly: controlled fermentation, gentle drying, careful sorting.

TERROIR

Yunnan's climate and large-leaved varieties form the basis for warmth, body and earthy depth in the infusion.

ORIGIN

Shou Pu Erh from Yunnan is a mature specialty from the origin region of Pu-Erh – controlled fermentation, batch-selected.

The tea

Yunnan Pu Erh

Yunnan Pu-erh is a mature Shou from Yunnan that doesn't make a big impression, but rather provides a sense of presence. The leaf opens slowly, releasing a calm, earthy warmth: forest floor, dark wood, a hint of cocoa shell. In the cup, it feels soft and velvety, yet surprisingly clear and "clean"—without any sharp edges or overpowering bitterness. With a slightly longer steeping time, it becomes deeper and maltier; with shorter brews, it remains brighter and more tranquil. A tea for moments when you want to gather rather than search.

PREPARATION

Pour 2.5g per 200ml of water at 100°C .
4 infusions : 3 min. soft & warm / 5 min. earthy & spicy

mild–moderate (typical of pu-erh) | Pleasantly warming and centering; often well tolerated even later in the day – depending on sensitivity.
