FAQs
Which tea suits me best?
If you prefer fresh, light cups, start with green or white tea. If you're looking for depth and warmth, black and pu-erh teas are ideal. Oolong falls in between, offering plenty of complexity with a smooth texture. Matcha and hojicha are good choices if you want something more intense for a bowl or latte. The product descriptions for each variety include its flavor profile, effects, and suitable occasions.
How do I find the right tea based on its effect – more calming or invigorating?
Green tea, white tea, and lighter oolongs generally have a clear and calming effect, without being overstimulating. Black tea, matcha, and pu-erh provide more pronounced alertness and structure – ideal for mid-morning or early afternoon. For later hours, milder white teas, gentle oolongs, or hojicha are suitable, provided you tolerate caffeine well. The caffeine content is briefly listed on each product page.
Are your teas flavored or natural?
The majority of our teas are natural and made from whole leaves without artificial flavorings. For flavored varieties – such as blends with lavender, vanilla, or bergamot – all ingredients are clearly listed. Even with jasmine tea, we rely on natural fragrance using fresh blossoms instead of added flavoring.
How do I store tea properly so that it stays fresh for a long time?
Tea prefers cool, dry, dark, and airtight storage. Ideally, keep it in its original packaging or a tightly sealed container – away from light, moisture, strong odors, and heat sources. Green tea, white tea, and matcha, in particular, should be enjoyed quickly after opening, as their delicate, fresh notes are fleeting.
How much tea do I need per cup and how many infusions are possible?
As a guideline, use 2–3 g of tea for approximately 200 ml of water. Many of our teas – especially Oolong, Pu-erh, and high-quality green and white teas – can be brewed multiple times, each with its own distinct character. On each product page, you'll find a detailed brewing guide with dosage, temperature, and steeping times to help you unlock the full potential of the tea.
